Last Year...I think
This year for girls camp I had the wonderful opportunity to be a YCL 2. This means we got to plan everything before camp and at camp be in charge of almost everything. We left for camp before anyone else, slept in the lodge, ate first (or last), taught certification, went horseback riding (which I did not enjoy), had lots of free time AND be the pumped up, crazy, and fun leaders over ALL the girls at camp! Camp was really fun and spiritual like always, but it felt different this year. Thinking about it, it being my last year I couldn't stop thinking about what I would do without Girls Camp. It's like when you think about life without Seminary... it's just weird. Haha! Anywho, this year I got to sing during sacrament meeting. We had a song planned but we couldn't get it ready in time so we changed the song the night before (at about midnight) then the next morning we sang it A Capella in Church. I guess it sounded pretty good based on the complements we received. Lol. Then, Monday came

around.... HIKE DAY! I loved hike day. I got to go on the 1st level hike, which we went to Natural Bridge ( its like 5 minutes away from Camp). It was a fun and easy hike. I enjoyed it because 1) I got to hike with my Best Friend and 2) I got to become closer to the 1st level girls that I didn't know before. 3) Even though I had a headache for 3 days this hike didn't make it worse :) After hikes, we had friendship night (or Family Night) and my ward did a get to know you type of deal. I had to eat an Onion... ew. Onions are my least favorite. It took 5 pieces of gum, 6 mints, Ice Cream, brushing my teeth twice and till the next morning when the taste and stench was finally gone! I finally got a shower Tuesday AFTER we went horseback riding ( which was the scariest thing ever!). I wanted to be all clean for when the bishops came. I could go on about Bishops Night so I think I'll just say that it was the best night of camp. Overall camp was so worth the 5 days away from the valley and I would love to go back, but a part of me says it will never be the same after this year. Thanks to all of my leaders who are amazing and thanks to everyone who helped make Girls Camp "Possible".
