Day Twenty-Five: A First

I don't know how many of you have been following my blog since the start so I'll recap a story from one of my earlier posts, like 3 years ago. The first time I drove a car.

I like this story cause it makes me laugh at myself.

April 5th 2008 was one exciting day for me, but a scary day for my family; this day I got my permit! My father and I went to the

MVD early in the morning and boy was it packed! I got in and barely passed my test i missed 5 questions (oops)! I got my card and ran out of

there so fast so I could drive home! My Dad has this thing; when you get your permit(or license) you have to drive home from the mvd. But I had to drive for the very first time in a gross giant white truck! NOT COOL! But I was excited none the less. When I was backing out I almost hit a car then I pulled out of the parking lot and jumped a curb! My first left hand turn was great, then I got down the road in one piece. My second left hand turn was next..YIKES! I was in the intersection waiting for an open spot! My dad points out an ambulance that is just down the road with its lights on! OH BOY! My dad screams " GGOOOO!!" so I went, slammed on the gas and dodged the ambulance and jump another curb doing a fish tail! My dad and I both were freaking out! The rest of the way home was ok; I just couldn't stay in my lane or get out of my lane! But my park job was the best! perfecto! Haha

So as of April 5, 2011 I will have been driving for 3 years already.

Crazy how time flies.
